Advocacy & Updates
Learn about important issues and opportunities to support the sickle cell community. From new legislation to campaigns and petitions, this is where you can stay informed and take meaningful action.

Canada does not know how many people are living with
Sickle Cell Anemia.
This is why we are partnering with the Sickle Cell Disease Association of Canada to help raise $100,000 to build the foundation of a national SCD registry, which would be a tool for survival, equity, and accountability!

Volunteer Opportunities
Blood donation is one of the most direct ways to support individuals living with Sickle Cell Anemia. Regular transfusions can be a critical part of managing complications, and donors help ensure that patients have access to safe, compatible blood when they need it most.

KSC is also seeking volunteers with experience in academic writing and analysis to help explain scientific articles about sickle cell disease in clear, accessible language. By breaking down research into simple, accurate summaries, these volunteers will play a key role in helping the community stay informed and empowered.
